- Space does not permit including the assembler source for the Kermit program,
- but it can be ordered on magnetic tape from Columbia University, or obtained
- over various computer networks or from dialup hosts (but note that Columbia
- will always have the most up-to-date set of source files).
-
- The .BOO file programs are useful for encoding binary files as printable text
- (.BOO) files and decoding them back into their original form, for convenient
- shipping over communication lines, networks, or electronic mail. New versions
- of Kermit are often distributed in .BOO format.
